Our favorite mascot, Denver Boone, wants to dress up in different costumes on Halloween night against Minnesota State-Mankato. If you come up with a great idea, we'll FedEx you a FREE Boone posterboard.Post your ideas, thoughts or suggestions below. We might go with three or four different ideas, so keep them coming.
He should go as a Jelly Donut.
ReplyDeleteJerry Garcia
ReplyDeleteThe obvious would be be give him a helmet, pads, sweater, and a stick and go as a hockey player.
ReplyDeleteBut I think he should go as the "Great Pumpkin" Charlie Brown.
A Cattle Rancher with a branding iron.
ReplyDeleteScott Owens.
ReplyDeleteThere has to be a good Ron Jeremy mask and wig at one of the local costume shops, right?
Great ideas! DD, Dirty's and Twister ideas are great but, unfortunately, nobody would get them.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Ruckus ideas too. People would/should get that. Put a beak and some wings on him. Maybe a stupid hat with feathers.
I think Jerry Garcia could be good, especially if we could get DU to play a little Greatful Dead at the same time. :-)

Gandalf from Lord of the Rings
ReplyDeleteGandolf. Well played. I like it.
ReplyDeleteI like your style dg! If I had it my way, we'd play Dead all game, haha.
ReplyDeleteLets talk to the DU band. They work for tips. :-)
ReplyDeleteIf we were playing CC again I'd say Boone should go Tarzan and wear a tiger skin cape.
ReplyDeleteSince we are playing the South Park Cows though we should have Boone dress as a cowboy with a branding iron that says DU on it.
Cover him with Swiss cheese...let him go as the Denver defense. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSwiss Cheese? Very well played. :-)
ReplyDeleteIn his royalness, George Gwozdecky. European suit, fabulous tie, arms crossed and a few championship rings.
ReplyDeletestill like Jerry Garcia
ReplyDeleteObviously he should dress up as Troy Jutting. Get a reddish colored wig, glasses, make his face red with a butt chin and have a cig hanging from his mouth and FLIP OUT every time there's a whistle blown.
ReplyDeleteHe could hold a sign saying something like "I heart Carol Ann" so everyone knows who he is. (that's his wife's name)
How about any costume that incorporates a hat made out of red-tail hawk feathers/body parts?
ReplyDeleteBoone with a rifle and a bunch of dead red tailed hawks. Stuffed animals of course...for the kids.
