Pioneer Spirit Day: May 20th, 2011

(above) DU students are gearing up for Pioneer Spirit Day
Several DU students are organizing Pioneer Spirit Day next month.  The Facebook Page attached to the event already has 384 positive responses.  

The event will be held on the Driscoll Green from 2-6 PM.  LetsGoDU will be working with the students on this event and we will coordinate alumni participation and support.

Boone will be there in full force.  Stay tuned for more details.

    Its great to see the students taking the initiative in regards to school spirit. DU has come a long way in the past five years and we've played a role.

    Just a few of the highlights:

    * LetsGoDU Designed, funded and constructed Boone

    * We've sent two students to Mascot Boot Camp

    * Boone has traveled to DC, Madison & Minneapolis.

    * We organized the Jesse Martin Poster, gathered over 1,000 signatures and flew a student up to Minneapolis to deliver it.

    * We've hosted two Pep Rallies at Spankys

    * We've raised money for the DU Pep Band and Women's Club hockey team

    * We've had lmost 1 million visits to LetsGoDU

    You wanna see school spirit? Can you imagine the flippin party that would take place at some point here at DU.... if the pro ice hockey team that's based in the Philadelphia area (who's players wear sweaters and socks orange and black in colour) was to win the Stanley Cup?
