DU dodges a bullet at 1-1 ... no goal. But face facts, this DU team as it stands is "a work in progress" not a great team.
ReplyDeleteDU wins in OT on Shore PPG,
ReplyDeleteStupid Huskies move to take a penalty at the Buzzer.
DU coughs up the lead with 2 minutes remaining and then scored a power Play goal in Overtime.
ReplyDeleteAfter no PP goals last weekend in Bemidji, they pop in three PP goals tonight
Hey MagnessMan,
ReplyDeleteJZ has two words for ya!
When was the last time DU had 3 PPGs in the same game?
ReplyDeleteDU got 3 PP goals against Mankato in the 10-3 win Homecoming night
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear JZ is ok. Will dress tomorrow. Big Boss Man give it rest sister. The comments I made are over a month old. 17 has stepped up since then. Let it die. Glad to get 2 points tonight. Bummer that CC got 2 also.
ReplyDeleteMagnessman is friggin clueless. Zucker puts his heart and soul into the game.
ReplyDeleteHappy to see Zucker is alright as well... huge for DU and team USA. What more Olkinuora keeps on impressing me and we got 3 PP goals tonight... since win? Tomorrow is the last game before the break, DU needs to put everything they have left into this last one. A sweep would be huge for the 2nd half.
ReplyDeleteGotta love MagnessMan and Old P making fun of Jay Stickney's play by play in the USCHO scoring thread. Their wit and wisdom is something only co14ers would enjoy. At least we found out how Old P came up with his name ... "And most of the people who have opinions about the PBP guy (with a few exceptions, ahem) couldn't accurately describe taking a leak."
ReplyDeleteSolid win last night and good to see the PP click. Need another win tonight.
ReplyDeleteDU got the job done, but they can still play better.
ReplyDeleteFact is they coughed up a penalty and a late tying goal to let St, Cloud tie the game instead of putting them away for good in regulation. Then we got lucky when their best player has a brain fart and runs our goalie, allowing a gift goal.
We could very easily be talking about another win that got away. Time for this team to get some secondary scoring.
We do need to get some scoring from other lines.
ReplyDeletedusince59 I totally agree and that worries me. Turning into a one line team. A dominating line though!
ReplyDeleteMagnessMan and old p not only think they can coach better than Gwoz, they believe they can do a better job broadcasting than Stickney and Rycroft.
ReplyDeletewhere is the goal czar, he has been quiet all season!
ReplyDeleteOld Pio is a long-time professional broadcaster who has done Olympic and professional sporting events in his career, as well as news and talk radio.
ReplyDeleteHe would be a fine DU broadcaster if he lived in Denver.
i havent' listened to shag man in years. don't miss him one bit.
ReplyDelete12:11, gotta love you being too scared to post on uscho and coming over here to anonymously try to make fun of old pio. Get a life tool.
ReplyDeleteI like stickney. Maybe not the best by professional broadcast standards, but he's enthusiastic and i think calls a good game. And, you gotta give him credit for traveling with the team to every weekend series for many years now. Not many people would do what he does.
ReplyDeleteStickney is something of a rarity in today's broadcast game - instead of smooth, bland and by-the-book, he's quirky, funny, self-deprecating and always a little bit behind the play.
ReplyDeletePersonally, he may not be Foster Hewitt, but he's ours and he's different.
I like him.
The Duo of Stickney and Raycroft has easily become one of my favorite broadcasting duos in sports. I think Altitude should take some lessons as they don't let Mike Haynes broadcast like he use to.
ReplyDeleteI don't miss the guy with the bad tan. And Charlie Host is a bit of a wuss.
ReplyDeleteI think DU chose wisely. Old P has a case of sour grapes because DU didn't want him.
ReplyDeleteGuy with the bad tan - Norm Jones
ReplyDeleteHere's another vote of confidence for Stickney! I like the way he calls the game
