    1. Too soon? Perhaps the troll should have led with "our high schoolers are dying to show you our model schools - like Columbine - now equipped with a greater sensitivity to the evils of bowling!"

  2. North Dakota fans clearly don't know how to play this game as evidenced by the comment above.

The trick is to post a comment that doesn't make your entire fan base look like a bunch of classless idiots.

    So far you're O fer 1.

  3. Some of the pro DU posts were so classy.

  4. Your board is getting taken over this week. Good luck getting a word in. Took one DU fan to make the vaccination comment at 1am. Welcome to the UND blog.

  5. The trick is to actually burn calories so you don't look like DG.

  6. If "Bowling for Columbine" is what DU students/fans use for reference that school is in a world of hurt.

  8. # of days DG went to the gym in the past 3 days.

  9. Are you UND fans ditching class again? The principal at Grand Forks Middle School is going to give you detention.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Do they have theatres in North Dakota?

    ReplyDelete
  11. This video is really well done. That gals line delivery and timing are perfect. I watched it twice.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The video is obviously dated. We have an Olive Garden here now too. Tourism is up 231%.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Friday night during warmups there was a UND fan in full Susie swag talking about how cool the hit was on Jesse Martin that almost killed him... Pure class - like we all have come to expect

    ReplyDelete
  14. Excellent video. Sums it up. Apparently their blogs are so crappy that nobody wants to go to those, either?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Like Anon said at 1242, not only do we have that new Olive Garden, we also just got a movie theater that is showing 2nd run films. Has anyone seen Avatar yet?

    ReplyDelete
  16. ha, ha, ha... Hey anyone of DU 6 fans coming to Grand Forks for the series?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Why go to a blog when the team has a big enough fanbase to support a message board. I know it's difficult concept to even comprehend for you DU fans since there's only 5 of you(adjusted to account for inflation).

It's okay though, DG will keep you warm and insulated.

Btw, that video cracks me up every time!

Despite the more bigger towns...rural ND is still very much like what is depicted. Some of those small ND towns are downright freaking scary.

If you happen to have to drive through the town of Hettinger...don't stop keep going with your windows rolled up and your doors locked!

  18. Anon 1:26.

Great story. Your full of it. Everyone thinks the hit on Jessie Martin (while legal) was unfortunate.

    ReplyDelete
  19. The problem with being in Grand Forks this week as opposed to last is DU will miss the festive lighting of the annual Christmas telephone pole. An event that drew dozens (who were out on their own recognizance) to city hall, aka "Bob's Beer, Boobs & Bait."

    ReplyDelete
  20. The hit was not legal. Go back to the USCHO thread at the time and people posted plenty of facts/quotes from the rule book to back it up.

The only people who still claim the hit was legal are people that don't care to look at a rule book and just go off what their "gut" tells them. Coincidentally, nearly all of these people are Sioux fans.

  21. Head was down. Was an unfortunate situation.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Old man, your an idiot. Call Grand Forks "back woods" all you would like, but the fact is no one was murdered here last weekend. No cops were shot, and no one was kidnapped. You can keep your failing schools, your traffic, and your crime.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Love all the UND haters. Cracks me up that DU had to call us to form the new conference. You've been having some conference issues it appears. Ha! Good thing you had UND to bail you out in this instance.

    ReplyDelete
  24. ^you do realized this was a mutual decision right? The most ignorant people from both fan bases seem to be posting here....

    1. Precisely - your point being? 16th Ave Mall has become a haven for panhandlers & crazies - the fun of a summer night is gone. I will take safe and boring any day of the week. As NoDak'ers often say, "40 below keeps out the riff-raff!" ...unless you are in the oil patch (which does have natural gas, too, but that's not where the "gold" is).

  27. Well, in our "failing" big city schools, we at least know the difference between "your" and "your're."

    1. Apparently DU failed DG in that area (see dggoddard @ 10:32). Just so I have this correct, "f'n run for YOUR life, Dylan's been bowling again and YOU'RE the next pin in line!" I think I can remember the distinction now.

    2. ...and again at 4:48pm - good thing DG got out b4 the DU price of admission eclipsed $50k per year!

  30. I thought Arkansas and Kentucky had some rednecks......and then I visted North Dakota. The average citizen up there has the IQ of a geranium. Those hillbillies sure love their hockey though.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Well the hit certainly wasn't as dirty as the hit on bina.

    ReplyDelete
  32. @ Anon 5:24..

That might be why they were just ranked #1 as the best run state in the nation. Frequently ranked as the best public schools.

This is fun. Keep it coming.

    ReplyDelete
  33. North Dakota is high in rankings because they have a small population and sit on one of the largest known natural gas reserves in the world. It makes things a lot easier for them in state comparisons.

It doesn't hide the fact that unless you own land with large natural gas reserves, North Dakota is a wasteland that WAY more people move out of than move to. Look at all you that move to Colorado? There's probably more ex-North Dakotans in Colorado than in North Dakota. There's a reason for it. If you search deep down in your soul you'll find it.

    ReplyDelete
  34. All this Rhetoric [that kind of means "conversation" - for all you North Dakota people] has me tired .... someone please remind me..... What place are thePioneers in? And what place is North Dakota in?

  35. Ahhhh....beautiful North Dakota http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agwmvgatozM&feature=player_embedded

  36. ND has.not.beat us.in a meaningful game in the last 10 years. We only have to worry about kristo. Hopefully gwoz will code red him.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Did we not knock you assholes out of the tourney a couple of years ago??

Focus all your attention on Kristo....please! Gwoz please do this.

  38. Kristo has an unstoppable toe drag move.

  39. DU is #1 with 15 pts, UND is in a three way tie for 5th with 10 pts. UND has two games in hand. UND has also not yet played Tech, Mankato or Wisco. DU's schedule from mid Jan to early March is seriously a brutal stretch. Omaha, at Duluth, at SC, CC, UND, at Minn. You needed 3 pts against Wisco. You got 1. Minn, UND, and Omaha could all catch you. UND is under performing thus far, but thay are ready to explode at a moments notice. Hope it's this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  40. DU go hosed big time by the refs that game. Other wise we would have kicked your ass.

    ReplyDelete
  41. UND can skate with anyone, but their D has been suspect this year. A lot of talent, but definetly missing leadership. Their goaltening has also been hit or miss. They absolutely dominated CC in every aspect, but could not bury the puck. Their goaltending was terrible on Friday night as well. Against CC was their best weekend. Although they barely salvaged a split in dramatic fashion, the MO has to be on their side.

Having said that, either side should hope for a split this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  42. HA! 6-1 and the refs were at fault. Yeah that's it.

"DU go hosed big time by the refs that game"

Ahhhh....there is that Colorado education shining through. Believe CO is the most underfunded school system in the country. Shows here.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The University of Denver is a private University that has nothing to do with state funding for higher education. Additionally, 70% of undergrads come here from outside the state.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Delaware, Rhode Island, Vermont and Arkansas all had smaller pieces of the tourism pie than North Dakota according to the most recent available Commerce Dept figures (2009). In fact, Americans spent 50% more tourism dollars in North Dakota that year than in Delaware. Michael Moore has never let facts cloud his political agendas, yet he would still be welcome (well...politely tolerated) most places in ND. We even have plenty of room for his inflated ego - as well as his Macy's T-giving Day Parade-sized person (NOT persona). Foreigners, statistically, like the Wild West even more than Americans. After all, we are "Legendary." Of course, we don't have any Columbine memorials - nor do we need them!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Remember that Ninth Dakota was 13 seconds away from being swept by CC, a team that DU had swept. So hey girls.....Beat DU. Leapfrog Denver in the polls this season. Get 8 NCAA Championships. Until one of those occurs, might I suggest that you, ummm.....shut up. I know huh? Respect through fear. DEE YOU
