I find the image you are using to promote the upcoming game very offensive. Smashing an orange that is alive is repugnant. I also find an image of an orange with human features to be very offensive. Especially when I eat one of his/her family members and it makes me think the cartoon could actually become a real orange at some point and grin at me with that evil grin. I would then have no issues smashing it while alive. Although admittedly I would feel offensive when I did that. And what's with that man carrying a lacrosse stick? I am sure many in the lacrosse community find that offensive as it demonstrates that anyone can be a lacrosse player and get a scholarship and ride horses while swimming with oranges with human features. Sorry - crossing my thoughts with water polo. I am now offended that there is so much offensiveness surrounding me that I've become confused and agitated.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the question?
Point taken.
ReplyDeleteOranges are offensive.
All you du fans should make sure you go to Philly now. One thing is for sure your hockey team wont be there next year.

ReplyDeleteOtis the Orange is a great mascot. Of course he's also pathetic. Pathetic makes good mascots. My friends think Poone is pathettic, but they also think Boone is the perfect mascot.
As to anonymous 8:31:00 CDT: One thing for sure is that DU lax is at the final four in Philly. It's uncertain as to whether our hockey team will get there.
Boone arrived safely at Philadelphia Airport this morning.
ReplyDeleteTSA managed to arrest three suspicious characters trying to board the same flight.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing an elk, jackalope and mountaineer being detained for posing as Pioneers.
Go Pios!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOn my way! With beer.
ReplyDeletePios 2 Otis 0
ReplyDeleteHalf time:
ReplyDelete5 t0 2 BUT those6 vs. 0 turn overs are going to kill us. Great exposure on Boone . Two good shots. None for the orange mascot.
The TV announcers are so freakin prejudiced towards Syracuse, it's insane. And you know what? I LIKE IT! Can't wait until DU wins this game - those morons won't know what to say.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I saw a horrendous, large, beastly character in the crowd.... had a coonskin cap, and a vest with a D on it. Where the hell is the network censorship? COME ON ESPN ~ pull your head out of your azzes!! I'm watching this game with 2 young kids!! How dare you flash that monster on national TV. I am stunned; speechless - that a major sports network could be so irresponsible to show such a repulsive image on live TV!
AAAARGH!!?!?! Syracuse 9 DU 8...down to the wire. DU gave up a 2 point lead going into the final few minutes. Proud of the guys. Go DU!
ReplyDeleteComplete collapse...why the change in goalie? Injury?
ReplyDeleteYou guys should change your name to the du chokers. Classic collapse ha ha ha. I cant wait for the book by your coaches. Tierney how to blow leads and gwoz how to lose a 3 game series when you win the first game against a pathetic cc team. Ha ha ha . Chokers
ReplyDeleteTierney is a legendary coach, no doubt, but this was a poorly coached game...much like the last semi.
ReplyDeleteI'll quote one of the DU faithful ...." All is right in the world"...
ReplyDeleteAnother epic collapse by DU athletics.....but, hey, at least you made it to the final four. Better then you can say about the hockey program in the last 10 years.
Yawn...... Z
-Outscored 5-1 in the 4th
ReplyDelete-Pulled a goalie standing on his head
-17 turnovers
-Did not communicate to players they need to get into box to call TO
-No shot on last possession
Denver did not deserve to win
Syracuse wanted it more than we did. The turnovers made the difference. They out fought us.
ReplyDeleteGod, I'll sleep well tonight
ReplyDeleteTime for a new coach?
ReplyDeletetime for a new coach? more like time for a new mascot...looks like boone couldnt get the job done under pressure
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that DU is always making ESPN's top ten getting schooled?
ReplyDeleteThat was a tough game to watch but Syracuse is a good team and fought until the end. Similar to last week, it doesn't matter who is winning through most of the game, just who is winning at the end. Good season by DU and a giant step forward for lacrosse in Denver and in the west in general.
ReplyDeletePretty similar to our win vs. North Carolina. SU's only lead was at the end of the game. DU should have had a 5 or 6 goal lead at a couple points in the game, but turnovers didn't allow it. Good season, and good time watching the game at C&G. The team should be good next year, but you only get to the final four so often, and DU didn't take advantage. Despite all the turovers, it was their game until the last few minutes.
ReplyDeleteWe lost the game but won the party!
ReplyDeleteNo doubt about that.
