    On another note, I heard yesterday morning on 850KOA radio that Denver was named #10 by Sports Magazine on thier list of the most miserable sports cities in America. ??? And what really pissed me off, is that the radio hosts were all in agreement... saying the Avs suck, the Broncos are at rock bottom, the Rockies suck, and of course Carmello left so the Nuggies suck (I'm just quoting the radio hosts, people).... and NOT ONE FRICKING MENTION about the great Denver Pioneer Hockey team. I was so angry. If I could have reached my cell phone while driving, I would have called in to ask WTF they're talking about - and why they don't mention DU Hockey. The mainstream sports fans in this state are so out of touch.

    SCSU is such a solid team that they are so much better than their record, while DU has so many holes that it is incomprehensible that this team is in 2nd place. The prediction is that DU will be lucky to escape with a point and if, by chance, DU manages a win an apology to the SCSU fans is in order since a crap team like DU should do nothing else but get kicked by SCSU.

    Anyone want to explain to me again why Donovan is so great? He got burned on the GWG and is -3 over the past 6 weeks or so. He's directly responsible for at least 2 of the 4 shorties we gave up the past 2 weekends.

    Why is he still playing in key situations? Why do we still go with 4 f's and 1 d on the PP? It hasn't really produced anything at all except shorties.

    9 out of 10 games we give up the 1st goal. 4 out of 5 weekends we lose on Friday. I'm very pessimistic about the next few weekends, and no I'm not Swami or pessimistic fan.

    Another disappointing turnout by the Students. No Boone either. Donovan was sloppy and at times Brittain looked like he was looking for Waldo in the stands. (should have been easy because there were plenty of open seats). The games that we've lost in the past weeks definitely would make Murray Armstrong roll over.

    Denver Pioneers are not strong on the puck - end of story. The way these guys are playing, only possible thing that's going to get them into next month.. is Goaltending.. end of story. Sad but true. This level of play won't cut it for the one and done post season... I'm only stating fact. What Canadian team do we host in October??? I'm just sayin'......

    The DU band is in Hot Springs, Arkansas this weekend supporting the DU Hoops team in the Sunbelt playoffs.

    There was no atmosphere in the building. In the offseason the Athletic Department should take a serious look at its game night production, marketing, music and promotion.

    Jesse Martin and the other seniors will sure get a well deserved ovation between the 1st & 2nd periods.

    Maiani will be back in the lineup and DU will have their full roster (minus Martin) for the first time in five weeks.

    Lee did swipe that puck in underneath his foot, but Anderson blew the whistle and wouldn't look at it. The guy is such a coward, yet is too prideful for his own good. He's extremely unprofessional. How is it interference on Nutini if the puck is at their feet? Plus the inadvertent whistle for "too many men" coming from they guy that was on the far side was not a good move by Shepherd. Not a good officiating night.

    Gwozdecky was out coached in opinion. Tonight is a big game for Denver. Don't think "The Cloud" isn't ready and waiting - and capable -to ruin this little "assured" code red win.     Look. You win some and you lose some. The point is to win many more than you lose and position yourself for the highest seed possible for the tourney and take it from there. That's what Gwoz and this team has done so far. If they're cut out to go far, then they will; If they aren't then they won't. End of story. A utopic garden of babylon will not sprout on campus if they go all the way and a giant sinkhole will not swallow the campus if they don't. Life will go on no matter what.     2:23....you miss the point. DU has had solid regular seasons. That's not the issue. But every season since 2005 DU has sucked in the playoffs. That's the problem. It's not one year or two years....it's 6 years running. That's not a fluky ocurrence. It's a bad trend.
