Niiice. Tough game for me to decide on next week though. Entire family, except for me (blacksheep of family) went to Virginia...But, it would be nice just to drill it into the entire fam with a big DU win
I was there and DU had about 500 fans there. A nice turnout by local alums, parents and some DU bigwigs. Tierney had a great game plan and the defense stifled Hop. DU's attackmen had more speed than Hop's D. Faus was excellent in goal when called upon.
This is a really good second flagship sport for DU to have, especially now that it's maturing and coming to fruition. I understand the money of basketball, Swami, but it's more satisfying to legitimately be in the conversation rather than going through the motions. This is something big to talk about to people back in the Midwest and East.
The energy around campus the past couple weekends bodes well for the school on so many levels. This is a lot of fun.
DU up 6-3, under 8 in the half
ReplyDeleteDU up 11-7 start of 4
ReplyDeleteGo DU! Way to show everyone how we do it out west!
ReplyDeleteDU is going to Baltimore...it may be the end of the world after all.

ReplyDeleteI'm a Maryland fan and it is always good to see JHU go home early.
Hopefully we can do the same and beat Syracuse tomorrow!!!
We're in a tough bracket for sure.

ReplyDelete... and to think that no one thought we deserved a top-eight seed and a home game. GO DENVER!

I should maybe revise to a 3rd flagship sport, though Skiing isn't much for conversation or spectating until the very end, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteJordan--womens gymnastics also has a long history of solid teams. I would give them the number four flag.
