Ryan Dingle named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week

Ryan Dingle (aka "The Franchise") from Steamboat Springs, Colorado was named the Red Barro...blah, blah, blah...Player of the Week. He netted four goals, including two game winners and a "shortie" over the weekend against Michigan Tech. Dingle was on the ice for every DU goal over the weekend except two.
.
DU won both games, 5-2 on Friday and 4-3 on Saturday's Homecoming Game. Former DU players Nick Larson and Captain Matt Laatsch were on hand to unveil DU's 2005 National Championship Banner Saturday night. In a surprising move, Colorado College, which has not won a National Championship in Men's Ice Hockey since 1957, did not send an "official" representative along to witness the event.

Dingle and linemates Gabe Gauthier and Paul "Stats" Stastny are quickly becoming one of the most prolific lines in college hockey. Together now for only three games, they have ignited DU's offense in three straight wins.

Look for the "Stats" Line to have another big weekend in in the town formerly known as Mankato, but now lovingly called the "Home of Minnesota State University."
