Matt Carle To Return To DU

Unfortunately not as a player, but two sources have confirmed that Matt Carle will return to the University of Denver on Friday, November 17 when DU plays Michigan Tech. In his first full season with the San Jose Sharks Carle is tied for the league lead in Defenseman Scoring with 14 Points in 16 games with Chris Pronger and Scott Niedermayer.

While at DU, Carle won two National Championships, the Hobey Baker award as College Hockey's most outstanding player, was co-captain of the Pioneers and was a 1st Team All-American twice.

San Jose will be playing the Colorado Avalanche on Wed. November 15 in Denver and the next game will be against the Flyers in San Jose the following Saturday.
