University of Denver's Ryan Dingle and freshman right winger Rhett Rakhshani have been honored as the Red Baron WCHA Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week. Dingle and Rakhshani's individual efforts helped the Denver Pioneers to a two-game sweep at Wisconsin this past weekend.

Dingle scored two goals and had an assist on the game-winning goal last Saturday night in Madison as DU won 4-3 in overtime its second straight victory over the host Badgers. Denver also won 2-0 last Friday.

In addition to his three points, Dingle also earned a +3 plus/minus rating in the series and fired seven shots on goal. He also led Denver's penalty-kill to success on 11 of 12 Wisconsin power-play attempts. A 2005-06 second team All-American, Dingle leads Denver in scoring this season with eight goals, three assists and 11 points through the first 10 games.
Rakhshani produced a three-point scoring night, including his first collegiate game-winning goal, in the 4-3 overtime victory Saturday. Rakhshani's game-winner came with just 15 seconds remaining in the extra session, as Denver completed its second consecutive sweep at the Kohl Center. In addition, Rakhshani had a team-leading 11 shots on goal in the series, earned a +2 plus/minus rating, added four hits and blocked two shots. Rakhshani is one of the top scoring rookies in the WCHA with three goals, six assists and nine points.
