The WCHA has granted Wisconsin which has three players returning from the World Junior Championship an exemption to the 22-man travel roster limit for this weekend's games.
Wisconsin forwards Jack Skille and Blake Geoffrion and defenseman Jamie McBain are in Sweden playing for Team USA. The American team is tentatively scheduled to return home on Saturday; depending on the outcome of today's quarterfinal game against Finland, it will play its final game either Thursday or Friday.
They are scheduled to get to Chicago at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, UW coach Mike Eaves said, and the effort is under way to get them from there to Denver in time for the 7 p.m. Mountain Time game against the Pioneers.
"Then we're asking them to get on a plane - if there is such a beast - and get out to Denver for a 7 o'clock game," Eaves said. "It'll be tight if we make that decision to do that."

Let 'em play as they'll be good and tired.
Should we send some DU alums to Stockhom and party hard on the flight home?
You could just stock a few cases of brewskis on the plane for their enjoyment. Don't we have a few Swedish hockey alums who could do the deed?
Its usually free drinks on most intenational flights.
Wouldn't surprise me if they were on a charter flight.
