REWARD $500*
Stolen National Championship Ring
We were shocked to hear yesterday that a recent crime wave has struck the Madison area and specifically the University of Wisconsin hockey team. Center Blake Geoffrion had his scooter stolen during preseason training camp and defenseman Davis Drewiske had his NCAA championship ring stolen in December. There's not much we can do about the scooter, but the market for National Championship rings is restricted to a small group of avid collectors.
Keep in mind that the Madison Police Department has been unable to solve this crime. You can bet this would never of happened in Grand Forks, where the Police Chief regularly works with the hockey team on matters such as underage drinking, fixing tickets & providing private security for the team's House Parties.
* The goal of the "Rings for Justice Program" is to bring championship ring thieves to justice and prevent future acts of thievery. Under the program, LetsGoDU may offer rewards up to $500 for information that prevents, frustrates, or favorably resolves acts of ring thievery against U.S. college hockey teams, or leads to the arrest or conviction, in any country, of thieves responsible for such acts.
