DU Ranked #8 All-Time In NHL Draftees

AskMen.com ranked the Top 10 College Hockey Programs based on the number of players that have been drafted by NHL teams over the years. Not surprisingly, DU checked in ahead of Colorado College (#10). DU earned the ranking based on 50 players having been drafted by NHL teams over the years.

University of Denver

With seven national hockey championships, the University of Denver has produced as well as any school in the country, aside from Michigan. The Pioneers have a perfect environment for success: strong coaching, a frozen environment and a commitment to winning. Denver has sent a slew of players to the NHL and young high school hockey players want to play here for a shot at the big time.

Honors list: Glenn Anderson, Paul Stastny, Matt Carle

Class of 2008: Forward Rhett Rakhshani has all of the tools to succeed at the next level and compiled 36 points for Denver in 2006-‘07.
