DU goaltender Peter Mannino was named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week after backstopping DU to a pair of victories over Maine this past weekend. DU's Tyler Ruegsegger & Jesse Martin were also recognized for their efforts last week by the WCHA.

Mannino recorded his 10th career shutout with 25 saves in the 2-0 victory on Oct. 12 and then turned aside 29 of 30 shots in the 3-1 victory on Saturday night. In the series, Mannino stopped 54 of 55 shots on goal for a .981 saves percentage and also keyed DU penalty-killing units that yielded just one power-play goal in 11 opportunities. He stopped 18 of the 19 power-play shots on goal.

Mannino, who ranks second all-time at DU in saves percentage and is third in both shutouts and goals-against average, is 2-0-0 with an 0.50 GAA and .982 Sv%. Over his Denver career, he is 40-18-4 with a 2.33 GAA and .919 Sv%.
