Still No Firm News On Trotter Situation

Mike Chamber's Blog says "check back after 3:30 PM MST today to see if Brock Trotter is still on the team."

Rumor and "unnamed sources" at Western College Hockey Blog saying that DU's Brock Trotter is "gone."

An empty post without a link at College Hockey News "Breaking News" saying that Trotter is "done at DU."

Yet Trotter is mentioned in DU's Game Notes and is still on the DU hockey roster, so the situation is not 100% resolved.

While rumors don't really have much credibility, neither do game notes or rosters. The game notes came out yesterday, and we weren't even supposed to hear anything until yesterday. And it takes time for them to update the websites... Especially if no formal announcement has been made.

True.

Are we to assume that this announcement time coincides with practice ending when the whole team is together for a formal press conference? Or practice beginning?

I'm not 100% sure but I've heard that practice begins at 3:30 (correct me if I'm wrong).

Practice is 3-6 according to Testwuide.

I just went over to Magness to see if Trotter was on the ice and he was a no show (3:15 PM). This is most likely negative news on the homefront.

Hard to be at practice when you haven't been in town for a few days now...

he got caught cheating on exams...c ya.......and the downfall continues for gwoz i mean mr belding

This is quite the soap opera. DU's media people need a swift kick in the groin. Make an announcement already.

^^says the dude from the nation leading school for suspensions...3 of which for "undisclosed reasons"^^

So more runaround and no answers from Gwoz according to chambers.

I'm not sure why Gwoz doesn't give the fans & media some sort of explanation, whether it just be "undisclosed reasons", "family/personal issue", or "disciplinary reasons".

The continuing runaround by Gwoz makes it seem like a coverup of some sort.

I don't think Gwoz is covering up.

He's probably under a gag order from administration/lwayers until a decision is made at levels above him.

like puck swami said, to even say it's a family or personal reason is releasing too much private information. Unless Brock or his family or legal counsel approves what Gwoz/DU says, they can say nothing other than cite 'confidential reasons' and 'privacy issues'
