From: Grand Forks Herald/Area Voices BlogThe NCAA released the APR (academic progress rate) today and the University of Denver was the top ranked school in the WCHA.
The formula was put into place four years ago in order to try to improve academics in NCAA schools. Schools that do not meet the 925 rate are subject to loss of scholarships and postseason bans.
Alaska-Anchorage is the only WCHA team below 925. However, it doesn't appear that the Seawolves will be in trouble for it. There is a note attached to Anchorage's score that says: "Denotes APR that does not subject the team to a contemporaneous penalty because the team is performing better than the institution's general student body, or based on instituional, athletics and student resources."

As a whole, college hockey is one of the top performing men's sports. The other big three revenue sports are the last three on the list.

UND is about where I'd expect them to be. Actually somewhat higher given the number of illiterate goons that they have.
Not to take the shine off anything on necessarily cast aspersions but apparently there are inconsistencies in the way school report. For example; Seniors at some schools who just left to turn pro at seasons end are reported as graduated. At other schools Seniors in identical conditions aren't.

I saw a video on Yahoo last week about the mullet contest winner. I'm not even joking the kid was wearing a Sioux jersey. No joke. My girlfriend showed me and it was almost too good to be true.
