(above) University of Oklahoma's Sooner SchoonerThe official mascot of the University of Oklahoma Sooners is the Sooner Schooner. Schooners are the covered wagons early settlers* traveled in. So while Oklahoma fans get fired up by watching the Sooner Schooner, DU fans, alumni & students are inspired by the "arched Denver logo."
*early settlers are like Pioneers, but obviously less racist
