Poor showing...what a shame. DU has been too inconsistent so far.

No question. It is going to take a monumental effort to turn it around against the Gophers.

Gwoz mentioned shaking up the lines next week. Mentioned the D-pairings in particular.

It's going to be an interesting turnout because school will be out for winter break.

Pathetic display of hockey by the Pios this weekend. Especially the Power Play. They have to pulled out of their Avsitis PP slump.

I question the heart of this team.

Will be an interesting series with Minn this weekend. DU has been all over the map this season. Goaltending has been tenuous. Minn. blew a 2-0 lead against Tech and came very close to losing in the last seconds so they are certainly not invincible. DU certainly has the firepower at least on paper. It would nice to see Joe C. really show up and dominate a game the way he is capable of. We are far enough into the season that there are really no excuses remaining for poor performances. When a walk on player is arguably your best player at this point in the season and your premier players are not producing it is time for some serious soul searching.

You call it heart, I'll say character. After the first few game, they may have read to many of their press clippings. No wins are guaranteed, surely the trip to St. Cloud should prove that.
Character and Consistency!

Rough weekend for the Pios. It's hard to believe they didn't even earn a point against St. Cloud. I thought they would come back with at least two. No time to feel sorry for themselves, though, with a very tough Gopher team coming to town.

I didn't see either game this weekend, but I would say it's a bit premature to start questioning the heart/character of the team. If they go into the holidays under .500 or with more bad losses this team could be in trouble. But a 3-point weekend or better against the Gophers will hopefully make everyone forget about this past weekend.

After the 4-0 start, the loss against Ohio State was a bad one for sure, but DU played well enough and hard enough against CC to get two wins, swept UMD, and had a bad weekend against SCSU.

No doubt consistency is their biggest problem. It seems as though in previous seasons DU has hit Jan/Feb slump after a great start. This year the slump is now.

The veterans on this team (anyone not a freshman) have to start scoring goals. Aside from Bozak, it seems to be a mediocre bunch thus far.
