The University of Denver men’s soccer team will face UC Davis in the First Round of the NCAA Championship in Davis, Calif., on Sat., Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. MT, the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Committee announced today.
Denver (10-6-2, 8-1-1 MPSF) is making its first tournament appearance, while UC Davis (12-4-4) is making its second-consecutive appearance in as many years of eligibility. The teams have split two games in their all-time series with the Pioneers winning the last matchup 2-1 at Pioneer Field on Sept. 18, 2005. The Aggies beat DU 2-1 on Sept. 4, 1993 the only other times the teams faced each other.
The winner of the Denver and UC Davis game will play No. 11 seed Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., on Sept. 25.
