(above) Tom Petty sings about DU in the polls
Even Princeton is ranked ahead of #8 DU in Inside College Hockey's Power Rankings. Minnesota #1, CC #3.LetsGoDU Top 10 SuperPoll®
DU falls out of the Top #25 in the Pairwise Rankings for the first time in years.
DU falls from #4 to #10 in the USCHO.com Poll. Good news is that Air Force received their first 1st Place Vote ever.
DU 10th in USA Today Poll while the University of Minnesota swept all 34 first place votes
1). Minnesota - We bow to the Gophers obvious superiority
2). Denver - Getting swept by second-rate hockey programs is not looked upon favorably by the SuperPoll® voters
3). Air Force - Undefeated and untied for the best record in college hockey
4). Boston University - Continues pattern of losing to scrubs and beating the crap out of good teams
5). Northeastern - We still think Northeastern is more like a Chrysler 300. You know, a poser that thinks it's a Bentley.
6). Boston College - 4 more National Championships and they'll be tied with DU
7). Wisconsin - May be the best 4-6-2 team in college hockey history. Who selected their schedule? Attila the Hun or the guy who thought that Patrick Wiercioch (5 goals, 5 assists in 10 games) wasn't ready for NCAA hockey?
8). New Hampshire - "Colorado College" of the East sports an impressive three game losing streak
9). St. Cloud - Best hockey program in America that has never won an NCAA playoff game
10). Notre Dame - Has to spend hockey profits propping up underachieving football program
Last). Colorado College - 52 consecutive years ending the season with a loss
2). Denver - Getting swept by second-rate hockey programs is not looked upon favorably by the SuperPoll® voters
3). Air Force - Undefeated and untied for the best record in college hockey
4). Boston University - Continues pattern of losing to scrubs and beating the crap out of good teams

The LetsGoDU Super Poll® is a scientific analysis factoring strength of schedule, player statistics and coaching tendencies. Then Denver is automatically placed in the one hole, CC is placed last and the rest of the teams more or less settle where they might likely finish.

We know times are tough when DU drops out of the top spot.
USCHO has DU ranked #8.
The difference we're ranked ahead of Miami and, I think, Michigan.
Ignore previous post, please!
Got it just backwards. (Give me a break, it's Monday.)
USCHO--#10
INCH--#8
The DU hockey program only has itself to blame. They were a pathetic excuse for a team this last weekend.
Wisconsin is actually 4-6-2, they SHOULD have won on friday at Duluth. Hell they should have won friday in Denver...
Love your blog BTW. I cheer for Denver except the 2 to 8 games they could play Wisconsin during a season.
Rather bitter about Patrick Wiercioch still, thanks for rubbing it in every week. :)
We thank you.
We've considered changing the name of the blog to "LetsGoWiercioch" but our lawyers advised us that we'd have to cut him in for an ownership share. :-)
Ok, I can live with DU dropping in the rankings, that is understandable. But how in the world is CC #3. Oh well, we can still count on them to choke at the end of the season!
Dear Gandalf,
You are delusional. Leave your mom's basement for a change. tUMD should have won on Friday night. Your team was too busy crying.
