Director of hockey operations and player development Don Sweeney has been getting good reports on University of Denver freshman Joe Colborne, Boston's most recent first-round pick. Through 19 games, Colborne has four goals and 12 assists. "He wasn't seeing special teams, like the majority of college freshmen," Sweeney said. "But now you're starting to see him get more time."
Colborne should become even more featured now that center Tyler Bozak is sidelined after undergoing knee surgery. Bozak, an undrafted sophomore, has drawn interest from the Bruins. "Likely every team," said Sweeney, when asked which NHL clubs would consider signing Bozak. "He's got skills that everybody appreciates."
