UAA Parties in Denver - 15 Suspensions Later....

This isn't good news for your 9th place University of Alaksa Anchorage Seawolves. After shocking the University of Denver 4-3 in overtime, 15 players including the captain and two assistant captains missed a 1 am curfew in Denver last weekend.

I guess the Seawolves were partying like it was 1999, which by the way, was the last time UAA won 15 games in a season.

Retribution was swift and severe by UAA coach Dave Shyiak.
Shyiak benched senior defenseman Mat Robinson, junior winger Josh Lunden and sophomore goaltender Bryce Christianson for unspecified violations of team rules. That stripped the Seawolves of their captain in Robinson (he also lost his 'C'), their second-leading goal scorer in Lunden and, in Christianson, the goalie who guided them to an upset overtime win at Denver last Saturday.

Shyiak said other players will sit out tonight's rematch, also for violating team rules.

"It's not going to be tolerated,'' Shyiak said. "Everyone has to be accountable, myself included.'
