DU Recruit Drew Shore Reports For THN

(above) The Hockey News had Drew Shore break down some of the players he faced this week

With some of the best teens in the world converging on Fargo, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn., for the World Under-18 Championship, The Hockey News needed an insider to draw up a book for us on the talent. Stepping into the role was Drew Shore, a 2009 draft eligible center from Team USA who is committed to the University of Denver next season.

Hey pessimistic--you are missnamed. You just listed the most outstanding team I have seen D.U. have in many many if not all years.Look at the lines; all four are first line material. There will be no let up for the opposition. Our weakness this year was our defensemen and that looks solid now. I agree, on to Detroit!

I probably wouldn't have Shore & Colborne on the same line. They are similar players.

Also, do we know if the Bruins want Colborne to be a wing or a center? That will probably weigh heavily on the lines.

I'd be looking to surround Shore & Colborne with speedy wingers that can take advantage of their passing skills.

Ryder impressed me last year with his development and has proven that he a top six defenseman and now plays at a WCHA level. He is the best hitter on the team.

I think Philips and Nutini will battle for the seventh defenseman spot.

We look loaded for this coming year!!!

I'm ready for the season to begin.
It's going to be a long time until October.

My only caveat, let's not let the team read any press clippings until after an 8th Championship banner is earned.

Let's just hope we finally get a team put together that can play a whole season. No 2nd half collapse, no half ass efforts come tournament time, etc...
