The NHL Chicago Blackhawks selected Darien, Illinios native and incoming DU freshman Paul Phillips in the 7th Round of the NHL Draft today.
Phillips played last season with the Cerar Rapids RoughRiders along with fellow DU recruit Matt Donovan.
William Wrenn and Drew Shore were selected in the 2nd Round earlier in the day. No other DU recruits were drafted.

As of now, Jason Zucker, Adam Murray, and Chris Knowlton are all eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
Zucker will be interesting. Size may be the only thing holding him back from being a Top 10 choice.
Don't forget Makowski for 2010.
Glad to see Phillips get drafted after a very good year in the USHL. Hometown team probably makes it even sweeter.
This was Makowski's last year of eligibility.
