Former DU and NHL star Kevin Dineen is being named as a candidate for the vacant New Jersey Devils head coaching job. Dineen was a finalist for several NHL coaching vacancies last summer.
Actually, when there were rumblings about Gwoz going to either Mich St or Bucky, I had hoped that -- if it indeed did occur -- KDineen would be in the mix to replace George.
He has always had that "I would make an awesome coach" appeal to him.

I hope he doesn't mind playing the trap. On the other hand he gets to coach Zach Parise, Travis Zajac and Marty Brodeur.
He'd be a great choice. He certainly deserves a chance...
