Incoming DU Freshman Matt Donovan did not record any points as the USA Under-20 team defeated Russia 8-1 in an exhibition scrimmage. Donovan is trying to make the USA's 22 man roster that will compete in the World Junior Championships in December.
John Moore, who ALMOST went to Colorado College, had two assists and quarterbacked the USA Power Play, was impressive.

This camp has really exposed some weaknesses that DU should exploit during the season. UW's Gardiner
who is a forward converted to D can't pivote at all. If he is put in certain situations during the year DU should really be able to use this advantage. Gardiner is a fast skater but Moore who isn't going to CC, faster and better passer with both powerplay and killing skills.
