Colborne Has Broken Finger - Out Indefinitely

According to the "Coming Down The Pipe Blog," Joe Colborne has a broken finger and is out indefinitely.

Colborne suffered the injury in the second period on Friday night against Ohio State and did not play in the third period of a 4-0 loss to the Buckeyes.

Colborne is scheduled to appear on The Pipeline Show out of Canada on Tuesday night and we'll post a link on Tuesday to the internet feed.
"Not only did the Denver Pioneers lose to Ohio State University last night, but they also lost star forward Joe Colborne. Colborne broke his finger and underwent surgery after the game. He may require more surgery and his time out of the lineup isn't known."

What on Earth is this? How does a broken finger mean indefinitely and why does he need multiple surgeries. That must be a pretty serious break

Dusty Jackson breaks his leg and is out for the season, Maiani suspended for three games and now this.

Throw in two unexpected losses and this is quickly turning into a Little Shop Of Horrors.

This is what goes with the curse of the infamous #1 National Ranking. Worst thing to happen since 1957. Thank god that's over with. Just start playing hockey.

as a und fan, i have to say that those are bad breaks (no pun intended). especially when you guys have to go into minny next weekend. sioux absolutely dominated them for the first night and on sat. minny really turned it around from the start of sat. and by the end of sat. they started to look like more of a typical gopher team. it will be an interesting series for du and um.

we will have to see which team can turn the tide of their recent unexpected play.

Wow, this is a kick in the nuts.

I'll say one thing--this year's team, although only 4 games into the season, hasn't lacked any drama.

3 weeks ago the stars seemed aligned for this team. Now, the Pios are facing lots of questions, what appears to be a serious injury to one of their best players, and some adversity. It's up the coaches and leaders on the team to pull through. A bit of gut check.

I hope it's the middle finger.... so he can flip off UND and CC

Thats an unfortunate situation for Joe, he's a great player. With the lack of class regularly demostrated by the editor of this blog, he will come up with something that UND did to break Mr. Colborne's finger.......:)

Yea, no shit. I think the editor of this blog could learn alot being a class act, such as Joe Colborne has demostrated in his short career at DU.

With the number of UND fans who read this blog, we've improved literacy in North Dakota 28% in the past year.

And... you assume all UND fans are from North Dakota? You are clearly not giving credit to the other states raised literacy rates. *rolls eyes* So has DU solved it's problems on the blueline yet? I think not.

Hey 10:33 - I watched both of the Minny vs. Susie games. Please. The drity stick work along which you always expect from the Susies along with the number of bogus/phantom calls against Minny particularly in the Sat. night game turned the weekend series into a farce. Lets see how the Susies do against a good team away from Grand Farks when they don't have the refs bowing to the pressure of the inbreds at the Ralph.

Excuses, excuses, thats all we ever get around here. Broken leg, suspension, broken finger.......wahhhh!!!! I'm waiting for the tears to start flowing. All teams deal with injuries and adversity, suck it up and stfu.

I think Mr. dggoddard does an excellent job of covering his favorite team, the DU Pioneers.

He also keeps up with what is happening through out the WCHA.

If LETSGODU.COM didn't exist the WCHA blog world would be lost without it.

Keep up the good work at LGD.
