A few thoughts on the lineup tonight. Good to see the three big guns paired on the top line. Should really help Maiani's production.
Brookwell sitting tonight. I like the fact that all the defensemen (except Wiercioch) appear to be in some sort of rotation. It will help the young guys develop faster and will take some of the wear and tear out of the 40+ game schedule on our D.
Missing Colborrne hurts, but its a real opportunity for Drew Shore to step up and shine. Tyler Bozak was a real "Gopher Killer" and was rewarded with a huge NHL contract. If Shore has a huge weekend, we'll know we have a go-to player.
I know what's being said to the press, but if Chevy has a huge game tonight....
Finally the flu confirmation really makes it impossible to judge any of our players performances after four games. Have Murray, Salazar, Maiani been touched with the flu? Certainly Wiercioch hasn't been the same player as last season and we know for sure he had it.
