DU's Pep Band will appear at six more hockey games this season. The band will also play at both DU's Men's & Women's basketball games and at least one lacrosse game this year. They will also play in the Homecoming Parade and other random events on campus.
This week DU's Pep Band was approved for "Club" status by the University, so they will eligible to raise funds on and off campus.
This year the band has 40 members, up from just 20 members in recent seasons. Last season the Pep Band performed at 11 DU hockey games.

thanks for this worthless piece of information.
You're welcome.
Tomorrow we're going to feature the recipe for the Boone Cake.
Good to hear. The band adds a lot to the atmosphere.
12:18.....did you say worthless?? Try looking between your legs.
That's great! I always say that it isn't a college hockey game without two things - the student section and the BAND!!!!
Now everyone can learn the DU fight song, which BTW I know all the words to because I had to teach the wives of the players in the Snoopy Tournament this summer how it went. *LOL* I guess they just wanted to be louder (?) than Michigan.
DJ - great to hear about the wives at the Snoopy tournament. Beat Michigan on the ice and in the stands (by cheering that is...not like the unfortunate incident that just took place at the Ralph).
Looking forward to that recipe DG. How many ounces of the 'special herb' should I buy tonight in preparation for baking tomorrow?
Season to taste.
The band needs to be at EVERY home game--back in the day the band members were older, and were always there, even during school breaks. The band MAKES the atmosphere. (my parents taught me the words to the fight song when I was 6 years old). Atmosphere at games is NOT worthless.
