Viewing Tonight's Game On The Internet

For those with PioneerVision tonight's game will feature the radio broadcast only. There was a possibility that the game will be videocast on UAA's Cable Partner Website. The Game starts at 9 PM MST.

The LetsGoDU.com Website has a pregame story on the weekend series.

Marc Cheverie has been named National Division I Player of the Month.

Lots of good goaltending out here in the Mile High City the first month of hockey in college and the pros. :)

Lets go DEW!!! Beat those Oceanpups into submission.

FYI, from past experience the UAA video link is usually activated right as the game starts. There are no pre or post-game shows. When the video works it is usually pretty good.

I heard that they're checking IP addresses and blocking anything that doesn't come from a GCI customer.

So I would advise DU fans to not even try to get the video.

Can’t Shaggy run the camera and talk at the same time?

We need a bootleg video like in Sienfeld.

Well, I can understand that. If you're going to get your ass handed to you on your home ice..... why let the whole world be able to watch it unfold?

GO DU.... and say hi our new friend, Adam "The Fury" Murray!

dggoddard said...

A North Dakota fan said that he was able to watch it two weeks ago. Said the link comes up 30 seconds before game time and you just keep pounding "refresh."

Consider the source, but there's at least a chance. :-)

Even if it ends up not working - I'll still check out the video feed.

I wouldn't put it past a winner like Dunop to try to lie to us. Just strikes me as that type.

DU's Pioneer Vision link goes directly to the Alaska feed, so my guess is that it'd probably work for folks down in Denver.

Why should UofD alumni need a free steaming broadcast anyway? Don't you all have the Pioneervision GOLD plan? Come on ... support your school and fork over the 15 bucks a month.

Typical Pioneers ... can't hack their own feed so they've got to push westward and try to take whatever they can. True to the Manifest Destiny legacy! I knew all you republicans were secretly big fans of entitlements.

First they have to have some poor statie school buy 12 airline tickets for them ... then their fans want in on the sweet deal that UAA's broadcaster intends for it's customers. No doubt GCI is stupid for not controlling their stream but geez ...

I guess that $40K/yr Harvard of the West student loans create a lot of cash strapped alumni. OH well ... if UND fans could figure it out then I'm sure UofD fans will manage.

That's right ... I'm an asshole.

Trev said...

Lots of noise with no point.

Vintage Dunlop.

You're not an asshole; you're just an idiot.

what are student loans?

Hey, wait just a minute.....don't forget..... CC SUX!

A- I'm on scholarship at DU, so I don't fall into everyone's perceived norm about being a rich east coaster whose daddy pays for everything. We get nickled and dimed for everything too- as much money in student fees goes to athletics (hundreds of thousands of $), they decided that the response was "underwhelming" and that they didn't see the need to dedicate valuable time and resources" to it. Actual response from the athletics department. As if it takes tons of resources to give students what is being produced already.

B- Even if I paid for the top of the line Pioneer Vision plan, it's not televised on there anyway.

Jordan,
You are my absolute favorite DU student of all time. Thank you for not being just another apologist for "all things DU".

My first post here was intended intended to be completely a facetious tongue-in-cheek joke since I assumed that DG was sharp enough to realize that just like last year GCI doesn't protect it's stream and that it is available to everyone.

I think they just found it to cumbersome to administer 10 or 15 or 20 $5 charges to folks and then have to deal with refunding when some idiot Sioux fan living in Commerce City couldn't make it work.

But then since Trev popped in with his lameness (learn the difference between "asshole" and "idiot" you fucking moronic Republican) ... I felt it appropriate to deride your school and it's nickname in my 2nd comment.

Unlike Trev, I'm sure you'll be able to figure out how to install Real Player into your browser.

Jordan,
Oops dear. You lost my support now. Alaska's inclusion in the United States had nothing to do with Manifest Destiny. Apparently the history department at DU is major suckage.

The U.S. paid Russia for Alaska. Russia annexed the joint originally in a typical empire-based action that had nothing to do with Yahweh telling them to go west.

Nope--you're a grillin machine Indy Pio! CC goes up 3-2 in the 2nd. UMD is getting killed by penalties--must be Anderson with the whistle.

Jordan said...

If manifest destiny has nothing do to with Alaska, then why did you use it in your example? It would have been more accurate, given your rebuttal, to ignore manifest destiny and just say we're going to buy UAA. Why is Russia's empire building any different that the US's?

Mind you that your comment came first. Did you lose your own support too?

Condi & Me said...

I'm pretty sure that a bunch of foreign white people buying land from a bunch of other foreign white people that indigenous people still live on would qualify as manifest destiny, not to mention in Alaska's case part of the Monroe Doctrine which has the center of American foreign policy in our corner of the world for the last couple of centuries.

I probably do not know what I am talking about since I did not graduate from the University of Denver with a degree in International Studies like our friend Donald Dunlop.

By the way, I am a DU graduate who is not a Republican and is not rich. My parents just valued education enough to save enough to be able send me to a good school.

Condi & Me said...

By the way, we are watching the game here in Denver on the internet. Or, as your former Senator so eloquently referred to it, a "series of tubes."

On a side note, where are the UAA fans? Are both of them in jail?

This all makes sense now. All you DU alums are a bunch of spoiled brats. Now as adults you all are a bunch of pompus assholes. Finally a moment of clarity on this pathetic blog.

Jordan said...

Ah, the convenience of the anonymous button. You guys are awesome. Your generalizations of us rich, whiny, DU students really adds to the quality of the discourse here. Especially after it was just addressed.

Sorry we like to talk about DU on a DU blog. That sure makes us pretentious.

So we're in Denver watching the GCI feed and my friends and I (Trev included) have a question for Donald: Are clocks against Alaska state law?

Donald Dunlop said...

Manifest Destiny is used exclusively to describe one of the motivations for 19th century Americans to push westward. More specifically, it refers to a belief that Yahweh had gifted those lands to the white man and wished him to conquer, settle and develop it.

The one other correct usage for the term would be in reference to the attitudes of Boer with regard to Southern Africa before the turn of the 20th century.

Russia's "empire grab" of Alaska was a geo-political move eastward. While I'd imagine the Czar figured Yahweh was on his side there was no effort to settle or develop Alaska.

It doesn't surprise me in the least that some disgusting sycophant ass-kissing lying bitch from the Bush administration wouldn't know that.

Find some non-scumbags to hang out with Trev.

Jordan,
Anytime you want some info on history feel free to email me versus asking any of the obviously worthless profs at your school.

Trev said...

Hang out with someone not made of latex, dunlop.

Donald Dunlop said...

As opposed to pretending to be hanging out with Condi Rice ... eh Trev?

Just ignore him.... Donald needs to try to make himself seem more important by insulting others. He obviously led a miserable childhood, and probably got slapped around some too. He's trying to get back at his father. Will always try to get the last word in too.... Sorry to see your blog polluted but I know you expect Mr. Dunlop here to spew his product.

Signed: Annoyed UAA fan.

Jordan said...

Hahaha Donald has apologists.

Win. Your "history lessons" don't scare me. This is a hockey blog.
