(above) Matt Carle & Paul Statsny with their retro jerseys presented to them two weeks ago by the 60th Anniversary CommitteeTwo of the University of Denver's greatest hockey players were presented with DU's retro hockey jerseys two weeks ago at the Campus Lounge. Matt Carle was in town with the Philadephia Flyers and Paul Stastny was at home along with the Colorado Avalanche. The teams faced off the following night.
Since moving on to the NHL both players have continued to significantly support the DU hockey program behind the scenes over the past several seasons. There is also no questions that their on ice successes have inspired and motivated our current crop of Pioneer players.
