Donovan & Zucker Make Final Team USA Roster

USA Hockey today announced its 22-player roster the 2010 U.S. National Junior Team that will compete at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship Dec. 26, 2009-Jan. 5, 2010, in Saskatoon and Regina, Sask.

"This roster includes a significant number of players who have had success in international competition, which will help us as we prepare to play here in Canada," said Jim Johannson, general manager of the 2010 U.S. National Junior Team. "We had some really tough choices to make to get down to 22, but in the end, that's a positive sign for the state of hockey in our country."

Zucker will be eligible to play on this and the next two WJC teams as he is only 17. FYI next year's tourney is in Buffalo. NY. As Donovan is 19, this will be his only time on the U-20 WJC team. Good luck to both of them!!!

Sweet deal for Matt - and WJC Gold Medal, the Gold Pan, the Denver Cup, the McNaughton... and the NCAA National Championship allin one season. It's all yours for the taking, Donno! Tell Zuck to take notes.... a taste of things to come for him

If Zucker can light up UND consistantly for us next season like he did in his last game...then damn, the future looks bright!

Hopefully bringing in Zucker will go some way to soften the blow of losing Rakhshani. Both are very skilled wingers.

Donno is obviously making a big statement already, but it'd still be good to see him develop further and maybe move into a leadership roll for the Pioneers. Maybe he can help Wrenn and Phillips up their games...the experience he'll get at the World Jrs will be invaluable in helping other blue liners.

Hope all fans have a Merry Christmas and be there on Jan 1 2010 to kick off the second half of the season.

It's great that 1/2 of the US team is from the NCAA.

This is great to hear. What an honor for both guys and everyone who made the team.

I have no idea how good Team USA will be, but I hope our guys can bring home some hardware.
