What a great game.

DU showed some promise tonight. Was the best game at home this year. GO PIONEERS

Not the best game at home this season at all. Either of the North Dakota games were better, imo.

They showed huge sack!

What happened to the Boston boy who went off with a dangling arm? That looked like an owie. Great time tonight; refs were letting them play a little bit, too.

Watching the replay now. Can't wait till the 3rd period, especially to see the no-goals. This team impresses more and more, seems like there's a lot more character on the ice this year.

What a game, what a weekend for DU! The Pios showed a lot of fortitude and resiliency to come from behind and defeat a talented BC team. They should really be able to build on this as WCHA play resumes next weekend.

A great start to 2010.

It was like watching that US vs Canada game all over again but we were Canada in this one. We sure didn't play for more then half the game and only really showed for the 3rd. We for fortunate tonight and we are lucky to have Rocky leading this team not as just a captain but our main scorer. Seems like it was not too long ago he was a freshman.

Yeah, anyone know what happened to the BC player who hurt his arm in the second? It was right in front of me...Looked really bad. Did he return?

One of the best games ever witnessed in Magness. Amazing win.

DU's record against Top 25 teams in the Pairwise Rakings; 10-3-2. :-)

Wey of BC left the game with a reported upper body injury and did not return. It looked like he hurt his wrist.

Great job by DU to come back and get the victory.

Great game by the Captain and his crew.

I wonder how many people at the WJC's were following that game? Not a bad outing for Patrick Wiercioch.

Anyone else wanna whine about the showcase format now?We got the matchup we wanted and the right result.Additionally got a thoroughly entertaining hockey game.

The fan in Section 18 was nicknamed "Shirtless Guy." It was his first DU hockey game ever and he wants to go to DU. He sure got the crowd pumped up.

Gwoz ought to give the guy one of his 18 scholies. He's easily worth four win a season. :-)

Someone in our group has some photos that I'll post when we get them.

Was that the first time Peg visited Section 18? Could he be awarded some sort of Boone scholie?

Who was that guy wearing number 57standing beside the shirtless guy. Was it his brother?

Hey, I'm just part of the Magness Arena Safety First Reponse Team. :-)

Shirtless Guy was great... He got the fans going at just the right moment. We need him at more games!

Shirtless guy was amped. He was either taking some highly effective drugs, or channeling some serious Chris Farley energy. He even got on TV, and a "That's Money" award on the jumbotron.

DG, my ability to judge the age of college-ish people may not be what it once was. But that guy looked like he was at least 25! Hmmm...I wonder if he's on a secret LetsgoDU "payroll"? In any case, I hope to see him again. Good job cooling him off with the bottled water. I tried to get a picture of that, but I was laughing too much.

dggoddard said...

You still have "it." Shirtless Guy is closer to 30.

Pretty sad when a drunk guy without a shirt, covered in beer, who paid the standard price of admission can cause more of a stir than a revamped, over priced, non-affiliated Boone mascot.

While rubbing NoDak fan’s noses in it for the home games was great, the come from behind win was INCREDIBLE! DU/BC was a better hockey game but the NoDak series was better for abuse of the obnoxious traveling fans from the frozen tundra.

North Dakota - Home of the Sosola (Lakota for jackass).

Few Sioux fans travel in the regualr season. About 95% of the Sioux fans at the DU games live in Denver, most having escaped from ND permanently.
