(above) What happens at Winter Carnival stays at Winter CarnivalFifty years ago, students at the University of Denver launched Winter Carnival, one of the school’s most enduring traditions. Students from DU have annually made the pilgrimage up the Rocky Mountains to celebrate Denver's proximity to some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the world.
DU students & Boone celebrated the 50th annual Winter Carnival with a weeklong series of events culminating in an on-mountain celebration at Winter Park Resort in Winter Park, Colorado three weeks ago.

Good to see that mascot somewhere... cuz we ain't seeing him at the games are we?
i've seen him at most of the home games this year, you must not be lookin too hard.
Not just home games! I even saw him in Sconie at the Kohl Center.
Well it is true that I sit in the front row and pay more attention to the game than most... maybe that's why I haven't seen him. I do remember however, that the first few times he would show up there would be the Boone chant and lots of applause. I guess the newness has worn off... too bad.
We'd like to get Boone skating on the ice pre-game but so far have been unable to get permission from the Athletic Department.
