So when does the Gold Pan get awarded? Which night? Would be nice to see it "dish" it out on Friday along with the McNaughton Cup. I hope that "pans" out. Now we're just waiting on the Hobey Baker and the National Championship; but those won't be handed out at Magness, sadly. (We just get another banner to raise next October)

Plus the Broadmoor Trophy for the WCHA playoffs is another prize up for grabs.

The NCAA title is the only one that counts.

If DU were to sweep CC this weekend it would pretty much eliminate them from making the playoffs.

To me everything else is like a consolation prize. I love it when we win them but the NCAA titles is what really matters.

The MacNaughton Cup is a huge accomplishment. It's the 2nd most important accomplishment that DU can achieve. National titles are the king, but I think it's wrong to say that national titles are all that matter. The NCAA tournament can hinge on one bad bounce of the puck. The MacNaughton trophy is a reward for a season of success.

I'll take the number six box and the right side of the number four box.

Because of the NCAA flame-outs the past two seasons, I consider making the Frozen Four the minimum acceptable expectation for this team, the coaches and us fans.

Winning the MacNaughton is awesome and should allow the team to relax in the WCHA playoffs.

I really hope to see Chevy & the boyz ready, rested and focused for the NCAA's. If we have sit guys on Saturday night against CC, in the 1st round of the playoffs and in the Final 5, for Pete's sake do it.

I just spoke to Danny's father - and he said CC sucks. I have to believe him.
