At the end of his first practice as a pro Thursday morning in Providence, Joe Colborne did what every rookie –– even a highly touted first-round pick with a rich contract –– is expected to do:

Joe was a few years off in his timeframe of DU's last previous first round draft pick. Craig Redmond was drafted #6 overall in 1984, when he had completed his 54 point year for DU in 1982-83, and had already played on the 1984 Canadian Olympic Team in Sarajevo. So it's been 26 years, not 40-50.
When you are a 20 year old like he is, 26 years might as well be 40-60 years!....
