From: South Bend Tribune

Two members of the Notre Dame hockey team were arrested Sunday, including one who has been charged with resisting arrest.

According to police reports, 19-year-old Kyle Palmieri and 18-year-old Riley Sheahan were arrested after a police officer saw the pair, and a third person, standing in the bed of a moving pickup truck about 2:30 a.m. at the corner of Washington and Notre Dame Avenue.

Police say Palmieri attempted to run away from an officer, which led to a struggle between the two that included the freshman hockey player grabbing at the officer’s Taser. Police said a test showed he had a 0.10 percent blood-alcohol level. He has been charged with two counts of resisting arrest and minor consumption.

Police said that Sheahan, who was also in the back of the truck, also tested positive for alcohol, showing a 0.12 percent blood-alcohol level. The freshman center has been charged with public intoxication and minor consumption.

Palmieri is a first round draft pick and Sheahan is projected to go pretty high in this year's draft.

I am sure these ND guys had to be aware of the BC incident, too.

Not so smart.

Looks like North Dakota has a new pool from with which to recruit... they'll make Captains for leading by example!

The BC & ND incidents happened just a couple of hours apart.

Supposedly Sheahan was supposed to be a top 5 NHL Draft pick before he went to Notre Dame. Most recent Mock Drafts had him falling to the bottom of the first round. This won't help.

Frickin' lightweights..... a .10 and a .12?

When I was 18 I could drink that much and convince a cop I was sober (much less get busted...).

Much learnin' to do, boys, much learnin'....

Palmeri got kicked off the NTDP team last year for a disciplinary thing, right? Maybe he just can't handle the fresh Midwest air?

Thuglyfe

palmieri didn't run, nor he did attempt to grab a taser; all charges related to those "allegations" have been dropped; in fact, the state police involved are now refusing to release video of the incident because they are worried about a civil suit from the palmieri family based on false arrest (i.e. trumped up charges); c'mon, have u been to a college campus in the last 20 years; if the blood alcohol levels are true, then really, this incident is much ado about nothing.
