I didn't get to watch tonight. Did Gwoz or anyone else have an update on Bennett?

Bennett will not play this weekend. No other info is available.

Interesting that USCHO and CHN PWR rankings has DU at #5 and Sioux Sports has them at #4.

That P.W.R. is quite sensitive. Win a game over a so-so team and jump from 10th to 4th.
Both goals on Adam were screened. He stopped everything that he saw.

Nice tribute to Murray. He changed many lives for the better. DU hockey would not be what it is today without him.

I think we personally have to thank NMU for that comeback win last night. For a team with total control of the game with a two goal lead, I have never seen such undisciplined hockey. They only have themselves to blame and DU took full advantage of it.

I hope Denver is ready to play a full 60 minutes now. Those first two periods were so terrible. We looked like we forgot how to play hockey.

Truth be told I thought Murray should of been the #1 star of the game even though he let two go. Neither goal was his fault, the team wasn't ready to play and he kept them in it for the comeback. I give Murray a ton of crap, but games like that earn respect.

This game was a huge confidence builder for the DU, in that they proved they can make an explosive third period comeback after playing incredibly horribly for two periods without their top scorers.

That said, NMU completely imploded with a 'Keystone Cops' display of ineptitude in that third period, taking penalty after penalty to really help DU along. It's been a while since seeing a worse third period by a DU opponent.

Heard some talk last night of DU possibly looking into leaving the WCHA if the Big 10 becomes a reality. If what I heard is correct, this new conference would maybe surpass what the Big 10 would have to offer. We will see!

Hey, on TV last night, they flashbacked to 1991 in St. Paul, when NMU won the National Title. The rink they were playing in had CLEAR dasher boards - not white. You can see people's feet who are sitting on the glass. That looks pretty wild! What arena was that - and was it always like that? Has it been done anywhere since???? Pretty freaky looking....

1) DU won't be continue to generate sufficient revenue playing in a WCHA without the Big 10 teams. They are wise to explore other options - ie a breakaway league with UND, CC, Miami, Notre Dame etc.

2) The clear-boarded arena in the 1991 NCAAs was the St. Paul Civic Center, which was later torn down to make room for the current Xcel Center. The clear boards were an early 70s experiment. The 1972 Olympics in Sapporro, Japan had them at Makomanai Arena, and the St. Paul Civic Center was built for the Fighting Saints of the old WHA at that same time period. It's great for the fans, but bad for advertising, which is way the trend died.

The players also had problems following pucks along the clear boards as it would get lost among the fans.
