DU Alum Paul Stastny scored his 300th point (98g/202a) in 311 career games on Sunday with a goal against Vancouver. He became the third player from the 2005 Draft class to reach 300 points. Currently, only Sidney Crosby (571 points) and Anze Kopitar (325 points) have accomplished the feat. Stastny is the 11th player in Avalanche/Nordiques history to reach the 300-point plateau.

DU Alum Tyler Bozak had two goals on Sunday night to help lead Toronto over Ottawa 5-1. Bozak's goals were scored 2:57 apart in the first period. Bozak now has 7 goals and 8 assists in 37 games.

Looks like Philadelphia is the favorite to land the NHL's Winter Classic next season at Lincoln Field home of the Philadelphia Eagles. Denver expressed an interest in hosting the event at Invesco Field, but appears to be a longshot according to the article.

DU moved up to a tie for third in the Pairwise after the games on Sunday thanks to a few upsets around college hockey.

Wrenn actually played this past weekend against Northern Michigan, but not sure how many minutes he played in each game.

Interesting decision by Wrenn. Seems that injuries really slowed down his development at DU more than lack of playing time.

With Ryder having a redshirt season under his belt, I'm guessing that he will be back next season.

DU still has six elite Dmen on the roster.
