DU Womens Golf Wins 8th Straight Sunbelt Title

(above) The DU Women's Golf Team moves on to the NCAA Tournament for the 8th straight year

The No. 44 University of Denver women's golf team claimed its eighth consecutive Sun Belt Conference Championship with an 11-over par 875 three-round score at the Schoolmaster Course at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course at the Shoals. The Pioneers shot a 4-over par 292 in the final round to go along with their 289 and 294 in the previous two rounds.

"I am so very happy and proud of this team," said head coach Sammie Chergo. "They have worked hard this year and continue to believe in themselves and each other. DU has some incredible coaches in lax, hockey, women's golf and skiing.

If we added football we would be the most dominate school for Sports. I bet we could one of the Harbaughs as a coach or Lou Holtz
