Michigan To Add Men's & Women's Lacrosse

Sources are telling Inside Lacrosse that the University of Michigan athletics department is preparing to announce the addition of men's and women's lacrosse programs, with the men's team to begin NCAA Division I play in time for the spring 2012 season, and the women's team in 2013.

There is speculation that Michigan would join the ECAC, DU's lacrosse conference.

this is good, they will likely put together a good program (in time). It is good for college lax (and DU lax) for it to continue to spread from its North East/ Long Island/ Baltimore base

BTW DU just won again today

Michigan could replace Notre Dame as a big DU rival at the top of the ECAC . M will be very good, very fast.
