Well played Miller. :-)

Miller, that well placed shot gets you a free beer at the C.& G.

I actually thought the first CC home game was just a showcase of Sesame Street on Ice's b-team...

...and Mexico's tryout for his promotion to parking lot attendant...

DU fans will certainly need the help of The Count to keep track of all of the goals Murray let's past. Here is a preview. Enjoy!

Keep clinging to that little carrot of an aberration you enjoyed last season.

Who cares about one game? The puddy tats have only finished above DU in the WCHA twice in the past 10 seasons. Now go buy some Heinz 57 sauce...

Aluum, always glad to help in the CC bashing. Looking forward to sharing a cold one with all our DU friends at the C&G on 10/1

Still a month... :(

@ Amy

It's hard to keep track of. That's why DG put the count down up. It's only temporary. He is going to take it down after The Count shows up and gets your all up to speed.

When "The Count" shows up? OK...mexico...again, it is NOT ok for a grown man to randomly dress up as Count Chocula. If I've told you this once, I've told you a thousand times.

@11:26

It takes a special peabrain like myself to be able to rationalize the belief that a team like CC is better than DU. It's hard for me to remember more than one game, so all I can recognize is that one game when DU, a week after losing Jesse and arguably performing above expectations all fall, hit a wall.

Like other CC fans, I often confuse the Gold Pan with a National Championship trophy- I'm not sure what one looks like since the ones in the World Arena are antiques, and the trophy has since been redesigned. I also can never seem to remember that DU actually has had the Gold Pan for the past 2 seasons.

Minimum wage employment makes it easy for me to spend my time slinging poo on another team's blog, since I have nobody else to talk to or socialize with. I'm happy you all play into my trap so that I have a social life at all.

I also have trouble using apostrophe's in the right place's, a testament to my superior typing and grammatical skill's- I like to accurately represent my fan base, which is admittedly largely made up of townies with very little hockey (or otherwise functional) knowledge whatsoever. Did you know that if a CC player fall's down by his own accord in open ice, it's a penalty for DU anyway? That's the way it should be, at least.

"You can't s'pell dumb without DU!"

Yep. The season is almost upon us. Time to start ramping up the rhetoric to in-season form. :-)

So, anyway, I am happy to have heard positive reports in regards to Adam Murray's play at the recent camp at DU. He has shown flashes of his potential but he has to be more steady from game to game, if he can do that I think we will be in for a fun ride this season.

GO DU!

Sometimes it’s good to vent. I’m glad you got all of that off your chest.

DU is posting final roster spots staring now on Twitter, @DU_Hockey

Looks like Zach Hope (Barrington Hills, Ill.) is the new 3rd string goalie until Sam Brittain recovers from his knee injury.

Twitter Updates....

Makes sense to still add a current 3rd stringer to the roster. Had to expect this since you gotta cover yourself for any unexpected injuries or illnesses or whatever else. The nice thing about our current goalie situation is that once Big Sam comes back, the Finn will likely become the 3rd stringer and we have rarely, if ever, had a 3rd string goalie with USHL experience.

Oh, I'm fired up now! What do we know about the McGill Redmen? Looking at last year's roster and not including the Seniors who left, I see they have 13 guys 6 feet or taller, whereas we have 12not including Sam Brittain. They have quite a road trip that 1st week too; After us they have AFA, NoDak, then BC or MSU. They'll be happy to get out of the states by then I bet.

Gonna be a great year!!! Go DU!
