Updated USA Roster

Twenty-nine of the original 44 players attending the 2011 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp will remain to face Sweden and Finland in a series of international games here this week. Two of those surviving are University of Denver players, Nick Shore and Jason Zucker.

The players are auditioning for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team that will take part in the 2012 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, Dec. 26, 2011-Jan. 5, 2012, in Calgary and Edmonton, Alta.

Zucker was also a member of the gold medal-winning 2010 team and bronze medal-winning 2011 U.S. National Junior Team.

Is this any real surprise? I think they only way those 2 guys can get OUT of it is with God forbid - an injury, or "breaking team rules" at this point. Good luck to them

I saw Mayfield put up some #s in exhibition....I wonder why he didn't make it? Anyone think we still have a chance at getting Seth Jones??

I personally think Seth Jones will take the CHL route and won't go NCAA, so my guess he's a long shot.

Ostrow has a tryout deal with Columbus and their AHL affiliate.

I've been falling behind on the signings.

Chris Nutini signed with the ECHL Reading Royals.

JP Testwuide signed with the AHL Chicago Wolves.

Zucker should be the captain of this team.

I'm realy looking forward to Scott Mayfield's college career. I just think he's going to be a butt-kicker, and I think he will be making it known early-on this year. Those Boston teams might be asking themselves, "who the hell is this kid amd where did he come from"

speaking of captain, when do we get the formal announcement that Dusty Jackson is captain?
