Obviously DU deserved this tumble in the poll...I am never happy with an effort like this weekend, but it was made worse by those p--sy Tech f--ks.

The long and winding road of Arizona born hockey phenom Colton St Clair took another twist this week.

St. Clair committed to Colorado College when he was just 16 years old after his junior team visited Colorado Springs in 2007. At the time it was a huge coup for CC.

Then he played three seasons in the USHL and his stats never really got better. He reneged on his verbal commitment to CC and signed with UND.

Then he went undrafted in the 2011 NHL Draft.

Now he's almost 20 years-old and his been ruled ineligible by the NCAA Clearinghouse, because an online course he took wasn't approved by the NCAA.

So UND will lose out on a scholarship player this season, he probably can't or won't return to the USHL and the NCAA says he can't practice with the UND team even though he's enrolled in school.

Recruiting 16 year-olds is a tricky business and CC sure got lucky on this one.
