Tough break, but DU has to put this incident on the backburner tonight and just come out, compete hard, and leave it all out there. If the Pios can manage a W tonight it would be a huge step in the right direction. Too many little steps forward and then one step back this season.
Unreal game ... this team is coming together at just the right time, scrappy, tough, and gritty .... Great Brittain is the keystone, and we might just take a run at this thing ... Go Pios, fantastic weekend vs. the Gophers ... a sweep on a top team, clawing from behind for game 2 ... nice. Maybe there's a spark in there. Brittain will have to lead this squad, but we've seen it before.
DU was a bit fortunate to get the sweep this weekend - they were probably outplayed in four of the six periods. but they found a way to win. DU was without 3 of its 4 best players, too.
The "even" I'm more concerned about was the blatant offside that led directly to a goal. Lucia was pissed about something at the end of the game. I'll give him whatever penalty he wanted if he'd give back that goal, because we wouldn't have been in OT to begin with...
Yeeeewaaaahh! Take that you bitch Rau. How sweep it is. Amazing game, amazing weekend. Kudos to both teams, especially DU, for a clean game tonight. Shores rock.
Right on, Jordan; another stellar, trademark, par for the course, typical, dead-on, as advertised, chamber of commerce night by the WCHA officials. And a nice follow up to yesterdays head office-trump suspension of Rau, cleaning up the mess left by the Magness refs

That sucks but it isn't surprising. Hopefully whatever the issue is will clear itself up soon. Go DU!

Update from warmups...
Zucker is on the bench in street clothes. No obvious braces or other encumbrances.
In a possible psych move, Beau Bennett is warming up.
Gophers get swept. There ya go Rau; we're even.

Maybe Minnesota would let us borrow that gutless punk Rau as a motivational consultant.
