DU In 7th At NCAA Skiing Championships

The defending national champion and No. 2-ranked University of Colorado ski team was tied for fifth place after Wednesday's first day of the NCAA championships in Bozeman, Mont. The big surprise was that No. 4 Dartmouth took the lead after the nordic classical races at Bohart Ranch. The Mean Green had 214 points, CU had 154, and the University of Denver was seventh with 118.

Go DU! Get yourselves another banner!

There won't be any banner this year.

While DU teams always tend to peak at this event, this DU team is the worst we've had in a long time.

This DU team has only qualified 10 skiers, hasn't won any meets this year and has had very few podium finishes.

This looks to be a rebuilding year.

I hope Peg does not let her B-Ball and Lax interest detract her from our premier sport along with hockey. Our ski history is legendary and should continue to receive full funding.--lets hope!

Damn I thought a national championship was a sure thing. Now not on in B-ball. hopefully Hockey and Lax can come through.

Our prior coach used to go to Europe and skim the 'B' players off their national teams to load up our ski team. The program now just doesn't seem as committed as in the past.

We'll be lucky to finish fourth...
