Hopefully the Pios can close the deal and it'll come to fruition.

Nice find 20.

Wow if DU could play in Albuquerque, that would be unbelievable. Also pretty amazing that they might not have to face a #1 seed.

Fingers crossed.

Thanks!

Right now, Lunardi has them projected as a #16 seed in Dayton, but that's bologna unless the committee is asleep at the switch (which has happened before; Niagara in 2007 got shipped to the play-in game when they should have been a #14 or #15). Every other bracketologist out there has DU as a #15 or, more commonly, a #14. I'm with Glockner, Palm, etc. on this one. I think Lunardi's just being lazy about the bottom of the bracket. Not sure how a team with wins over St. Mary's, Southern Miss and MTSU is a #16 seed, let alone one of the four worst of the six #16 seeds.

More here, including a list of teams in other conference tourneys that we should root against for seeding purposes. (Tonight, root for Fairfield over Loyola in the MAAC, and Western Carolina over Davidson in the Southern.)

Just seeing DU in the proposed bracket is pretty amazing.

Go Pios!

Two closest cities to Denver hosting Regionals would be Albuquerque & Omaha.

Just to see D.U. in the projected tournament is great. The bad news is they have that damn chicken also posted.

While "Dance dreams" are tantalizing, the Pios need to take care of business.

Beating WKU won't be easy. Those guys are on a roll, and have beaten some of the best SBC teams lately.

Then, assuming DU wins, they will need to beat either Ark State in front of 6,000 Arkansans in Hot Springs, or beat North Texas again, a team that has beaten DU once this year and has the best player in the confrence in Tony Mitchell.

On the plus side, DU has already beaten all these teams this year, and should have a bit more rest than WKU or Ark. State.

The Pios are the best of the remainig teams and if they play like it, we'll be dancing. But they need to win, and do it on little rest a long way from home.

Anon @ 3:15 is right on... Let's not get the cart before the horse here...

One thing at a time.

We're fans. We're allow to dream, plan and look ahead.

Agreed that if the players are doing this, we are going to be in big trouble.

One reason why you "have" to look ahead is the tremendous potential costs of airfares and hotels during these NCAA Regionals. Airfares might cost $1,000 to $2,000 each at the last minute to certain markets.

There will probably be 100,000 to 500,000 fans with laptops on the tables booking airfares during the Selection Sunday Show.

So, Denver pretty much has to win the SBC tournament to make the NC$$ tourney right?

Yes. Denver's RPI is 84. Respectable, but not at-large level. Must win the tourney to Dance this year
