DU will play that Loyola game in Annapolis, MD at Navy/Marine Corps Stadium, home of the Navy football/lacrosse, which holds about 35,000.

If Maryland beats Lehigh this weekend, it will be DU plus three other Maryland teams in that doubleheader- Loyola, Johns Hopkins and Maryland. All the other teams can sleep in their own beds, save DU.

Yesterday's win over UNC validated our at-large selection. By beating UNC, I think we earned our at-large spot and reminded folks that this is a strong team. I know Loyola will be tough next weekend... but man I'd love to beat them!

Maryland beat Lehigh last night so they are playing Hopkins before the DU game.

I really believe that Denver has a great shot at beating Loyola. As the saying goes...Third time's a charm! GO Pioneers.

DU hasn't played well against Loyola with a ton on the line each time. Its probably time to face facts that they are better than DU and it will take a perfect game to beat them.

Everything to play for and nothing to lose.

Reason why airfares & hotels are hard to find into Baltimore this weekend?

Preakness Stakes horse race is on Saturday at Pimlico as well.

DG, I gotta disagree with you here. Loyola is a very good team, the Pioneers are too. Terrible luck at the worst times has conspired against them so far this year. While Loyola outplayed them both times, it is very difficult to beat a good team twice, harder still three times. Two whole games of film and a week for Bill Tierney to tinker is an exceedingly dangerous combination. Calling it here, the Pioneers play run 'n gun and roll right past the Greyhounds, and Boone goes shipping up to Boston!

I hope you're right.:-)

DG: You might want to change your room and stay in Annapolis. Cheaper rooms, nicer rooms, availability, better restaurants, and plenty to do.
I agree with your accessment on Loyola, but they are not much better then us. Nobody plays perfect games in Lax. Loyola comes close. Early saves by LaPlante would give us a big lift.

DU is going all out to make this game fun. There is free food iDU pre-game tailgate in the South Lot at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis on game day, and TV watch parties have been set up in bars in a record 17 cities around the USA....

Watch for details....
