DU Skier Kristine Haugen Wins GS At NCAA's

Kristine Haugen of the University of Denver capped an undefeated season in college giant slalom racing with a convincing win in the NCAA GS on Wednesday, during the first day of competition at the 2013 NCAA Skiing Championships.

Defending champion Vermont owns the first-day lead with 227 points, with the Pioneers in second at 210½, The Buffaloes in third at 175½, followed by New Hampshire (165½) and Utah (164½). The championships continue Thursday with women's 5K and men's 10K classical events.
