So Peg cowered in her office while “those in charge” fired Gwoz. And then Peg cowered in her office when “those in charge” tried to dump Boone and pick a new mascot. Peg is clearly not one of “those in charge”. Peg is just dead weight.

Very tough schedule for the Pios. Cal, Stanford and Harvard right out of the gate is really tough- all of them could be top 25 level teams. Getting Belmont at home is a mid major coup, and the St. Joes game in Philly is good serious east coast exposure.

The usual Wyoming and CSU games add local interest.

North Dakota State, SDSU and Western Illinois will be our competition in the Summit.

Hey 6:03:

You make some unsubstantiated claims that just are not true.

Peg runs the show, but everyone in power knows its the Board who pays the big bills. You need both in your corner if you want to be hockey coach at DU, and Gwoz lost them both with his contract demands. That's just how it goes. Gwoz got the horns because he thought he had leverage. Turns out he didn't have it...

Peg did NOT cower in her office in the Mascot Search, either. She turned down the task because she knew there was no upside. She was smart. Sometimes, you gotta know when to say no.

Finally, she's not dead weight, either. She's got the top performing non-football athletic dept. in the country and she's made some excellent coaching hires. Her kids graduate, have a better academic GPA and grad rate then the regular DU students and they stay out of trouble, too.

Oh, and her peers elected her president of the D-AAA ADs, and to the NCAA Leadership Council. You don't get those votes if you aren't respected in the field.

Is she perfect? No. But is she good at her job? Very much so.

You can write "FIRE THE DOPpES!" all you want, but the important facts are far more in her favor...

Dont' bother 6:03, he's busy posting on an article about a dog being run over and blaming it on Obama or Bush (depending on his political allegiances).

This is another great schedule by Coach Scott and his staff. It is going to fun to see how we match up with some of these teams. Can't wait to see them in Philly and go to Denver for a game or two.

Hopefully, this is he year we are ready to take the league tournament for an NCAA berth.

Hey fire DOOpEs guy. This is about the 12th time you have entered your worn out comment. ENOUGH! You have gone past the point of annoyance to the point of needing medical help.

Leave Peg alone. She loves basketball.

Basketball rules/hockey drools.
